Journal entry for 3rd week of february

Just when I thought I can finally get some rest after finishing all those homeworks, here comes exam. However, i couldn't pay much attention to it because I have to prepare for my piano exam as well. This week I read a book The Pearl by John Steinbeck that talks about a Mexican man Kino who found a great pearl and the changes it brought to him. The pearl was suppose to bring great wealth and make his future better but it did not do so, and instead had caused him to commit several murder and caused the death of his son, Coyotito. It suddenly dawned on me that things always happen for a reason, some may be a blessing in disguise and may be a "curse" in disguise.
Have I told you I became a fan of Sherlock Holmes lately? The modern BBC version of Sherlock Holmes trades in traditional Sherlock Holmes’ famous deerstalker caps for a fine selection of borderline-hipster scarves and modern Dr John Watson tends labors over a blog rather than a journal, but the signature qualities of Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic — quick wit, dynamic dialogue, fast-paced adventure — remain intact and come to life in ever more brilliant detail.

  1. I think there is a new modern series on Sherlock. I've read all of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock. They're amazing.
